This isn't a scholarship or grant , but it is a freebie ! This would help us educate others who are ignorant of what living with a disability is all about.
"In this one-hour documentary, symphony conductor James DePreist, who contracted polio as a young man, profiles three people with disabilities whose lives have been shaped by the struggle for equal rights. Mr. DePreist is the nephew of African American contralto Marian Anderson, who in 1939 was prevented from singing at Constitution Hall because of her race. He draws parallels between racial barriers and the barriers faced by people with disabilities."

Grants for the Disabled
Support and accommodations for people with disabilities has changed dramatically over the past few decades. Having a disability doesn't mean you have to be out of the mainstream of life. In fact, many persons with disabilities create companies, get advanced degrees, compete in athletic contests, and, of course, get grants!
Government agencies and private foundations provide a wide range of grants and funding for people with disabilities, so be sure to comb through these listings to find the information that best meets your needs.
